The starting point for developing both the item model and the cognitive model in the hybrid AIG is a parent item, reflecting the approach used in the template-based method. It functions as a prototype for generating new questions that follow the template’s structure.
In the first step of the hybrid AIG, the expert provides a parent item to AI.

Hybrid methods combine filter and wrapper methods to take advantage of the benefits each method provides, while minimizing their limitations [12]. A filter method first selects a subset of features, which are then input into a wrapper method to further select the best subset of features. As hybrid methods are a combination of filter and wrapper methods, they inherit problems from both—filter methods may exclude important features and wrapper methods are inefficient in computation time.

Such interventions are typically referred to as hybrid. With regard to healthy cognitive aging, hybrid physical training interventions have been somewhat neglected [64] but have been highlighted as a promising option for future studies (eg, for older adults at risk or with cognitive impairment) [87]. Moreover, neither a generally accepted definition nor a classification framework for hybrid physical training interventions is available.

We present the results from our Digital Hematology Unit (DHU) in a Hybrid Hematology Department and propose it as a potential solution for the broader implementation of telemedicine in clinical hematology practice.
We conducted a comprehensive evaluation of data collected during 2021 comparing face-to-face visits with telematic consultations across various hematology areas. This evaluation followed the launch of the DHU at our university hospital.

Using a New York-Presbyterian Hospital (NYPH) quality improvement (QI) project focused on improving CR uptake as a use case, we describe how we infused UCD principles and IS methods to develop a telehealth-enhanced hybrid CR (THCR) program at stage I of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Stage Model for Behavioral Intervention Development [22,27].

We sought to summarize the practical experience of using a hybrid model of remote monitoring at our hospital and compare the efficiency of routine on-site monitoring with the hybrid monitoring model, thus providing a useful reference for future clinical trial monitoring management.
